The first Global knives were designed in 1985 by Komin Yamada. The remit was to develop a range of knives which was truly new and revolutionary, harnessing the best materials avaliable and the most modern design concepts. Today, the Global factory continue to develop the most technically advanced performance chef's knives in the world. Each knife is carefully weighted to ensure perfect balance in the hand. The smooth contours and seamless construction eliminate food and dirt traps, offering the ultimate in safety and hygiene.
These knives have a high carbon content and are not recommended for dishwasher. Because they are folded steel rather than forged we recommend using a sharpener specifically designed for Global knives, which can be found in the 'Knife Sharpening' section.
